Assistant Manager

To lead process development, scale-up, and commercialization activities for personal care raw materials, specialty chemicals, surfactants, esters, emulsifiers, and functional ingredients. The role requires strong expertise in organic synthesis, process optimization, technology transfer, and cross-functional project management.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Process Development

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for specialty chemicals, esters, surfactants, emulsifiers, and personal care ingredients.
• Conduct literature surveys, route scouting, and feasibility studies for new product development.
• Design cost-effective, scalable, and commercially viable manufacturing processes.
• Support development of sustainable and green chemistry-based products.

Scale-Up & Technology Transfer

• Scale up processes from laboratory to pilot and commercial manufacturing.
• Prepare technology transfer packages and support manufacturing teams during commercialization.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues during plant trials and commercial production.

Process Optimization

• Improve yield, cycle time, product quality, and process economics.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Drive cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare SOPs, BMRs, technology transfer documents, process reports, risk assessments, and validation protocols.
• Support ISO, GMP, EHS, and quality management systems.
• Participate in HAZOP and process safety reviews.

Team Leadership

• Mentor Research Executives and Chemists.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Procurement, Engineering, and Regulatory teams.

Qualification

·      M.Sc. Organic Chemistry / Applied Chemistry

·      B.Tech / M.Tech Chemical Engineering

·      Oleochemical Technology

·      Oils, Fats & Waxes Technology

·      Cosmetic Science / Cosmetic Technology

·      Industrial Chemistry

Experience

• 6–8 years in Process R&D, Specialty Chemicals, Personal Care Ingredients, API, Oleochemicals, or Surfactant Manufacturing.
