1. The Head of Cloud Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of all cloud-based infrastructure and services. 
2. This role ensures the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of the company's cloud environment, driving operational excellence and cost-efficiency. 
3. The ideal candidate is a seasoned cloud leader with deep technical expertise, strong management skills, and a strategic mindset focused on leveraging cloud technologies to achieve business goals.

Managerial Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Execute Strategy: Define and lead the long-term cloud operations strategy, roadmap, and architecture (e.g., multi-cloud, hybrid) in alignment with overall business and technology objectives.
2. Operational Excellence: Establish and enforce best practices for cloud governance, disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident management (e.g., SRE principles).
3. Budget Management: Oversee the FinOps strategy, including cloud spend optimization, cost reporting, forecasting, and resource utilization across all cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
4. Vendor Management: Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with cloud providers and third-party operational tool vendors.

Functional Responsibilities:

1. Ensure reliability of mission-critical apps by meeting/exceeding SLOs & SLAs. 
2. Drive automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for provisioning, deployment, monitoring and scaling. 
3. Implement robust observability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and Datadog for real-time system health. 
4. Lead incident response, post-mortems and remediation to minimize disruptions. 
5. Collaborate with security teams to maintain strong cloud security posture and compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR). 
6. Oversee IAM strategies, conduct audits and ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.

M.Tech/B.Tech Or Equivalent Bachelors Degree
