Job Description
A Sales Team Leader is a middle-management professional responsible for overseeing a team of sales representatives to ensure they meet and exceed individual and collective sales targets. Unlike higher-level sales managers who focus on long-term strategy and budgeting, team leaders are often "on the floor," providing hands-on support, daily guidance, and real-time coaching. APACSMA +4
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management & Motivation: Lead, inspire, and supervise daily activities to maintain high morale and a results-driven environment.
- Performance Monitoring: Set clear individual and team quotas, track progress via KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Coaching & Training: Identify skill gaps, conduct sales workshops, and provide one-on-one mentorship—including joining sales calls to help close deals.
- Strategy Execution: Translate high-level company sales goals into actionable daily plans and territory-specific strategies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales data, activity reports, and forecasts to senior management.
- Customer Relations: Resolve escalated customer issues and maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.
