Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Panel Design Engineer responsible for designing and developing electrical control panels for industrial applications. The role involves preparing detailed drawings, selecting components, and coordinating with production and project teams to ensure accurate and efficient execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels such as PCC, MCC, PLC, VFD, and automation panels
• Prepare:
• GA (General Arrangement) drawings
• SLD (Single Line Diagrams)
• Control schematics
• Wiring diagrams
• Component selection based on project requirements (Siemens / Schneider / ABB, etc.)
• Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and ensure cost-effective design
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards (IS / IEC)
• Coordination with:
• Production team for panel manufacturing
• Purchase team for material finalization
• Project team for technical clarifications
• Support troubleshooting and modifications during production and commissioning
• Maintain design documentation and revision control

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Proficiency in AutoCAD / EPLAN / Electrical CAD software
• Strong understanding of electrical components:
• MCB, MCCB, ACB, Relays, Contactors, VFDs, PLCs
• Knowledge of control panel wiring and industrial automation basics
• Understanding of load calculations and protection schemes
• Familiarity with standards like IEC / IS
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in electrical panel design
• Experience in industrial or automation panel manufacturing preferred
