Computer Hardware Technician

Job Description:

The Computer Hardware Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing computer hardware, peripherals, and related equipment to ensure smooth IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, etc.)

Diagnose and repair hardware faults and replace defective components

Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades

Assemble computers and install operating systems and drivers

Provide on-site and remote technical support to users

Maintain inventory of hardware parts and tools

Ensure data security and follow IT policies

Prepare service reports and documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma / ITI / Certification in Computer Hardware or IT (preferred)

Proven experience as a hardware technician

Strong knowledge of computer components and peripherals

Basic knowledge of networking and operating systems

Good problem-solving and communication skills

Experience:

1–3 years of experience in computer hardware maintenance
