Job Description

The Operations Manager will lead a large team and oversee associated project work to ensure clean, high-quality data for client insights. The role requires a deep understanding of and ability to represent local market conditions in operations processes, as well as executing defined country “onshore” work while engaging local and regional partners. You will drive operational excellence across production cycles, data quality, process efficiency, and transformation initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Manage the team and ensure production cycles are delivered on time and with defined quality standards. 

  • Handle productivity and automation targets given to the team and ensure timely delivery of these targets. 

  • Engage with the team to resolve technical challenges and ensure new tool enhancements are well understood. 

  • Manage incident handling, including communication of errors, risks, and recovery actions to stakeholders. 

  • Own the RCA process and work with the team to give proper actionable analysis of the incidents. 

  • Ensure effective and clear communication with onshore and other stakeholders, provide precise project updates, and manage client queries efficiently. 

  • Maintain updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), exception logs, and process documentation.  

  • Understand regular execution process with attention to detail & Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and automation to improve productivity. 

  • Everyday work revolves around ensuring the high quality of the setup used in the various markets reported by Nielsen as well as analyzing any potential concerns in the data which a client may have. It is an important link in the chain of Nielsen activities, and our analysts are often engaged in cross-department cooperation.  

  • Participate in development and drive standardization and process efficiency for method related process / application.  

  • Collaborate with Statistical Operations, Panel Data and Market Data to collect information and coordinate tasks to improve data quality and drive for continuous business process improvements.  

  • Provide technical and process expertise to deployment of the Consumer Information Platform (CIP); also assist remote located resources to implement projects in the most effective way.  

  • Prepare accurate KPI tracking to monitor and improve quality performance (on time delivery and data accuracy) and maintain project work discipline.  

  • Operate in a virtual/multi-cultural environment, liaising with stakeholders and colleagues.  

 

Qualifications

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU  

A successful manager delivers timely and with quality instructions on client deliverables, coding and data validation focusing on specific industry / category or set of categories (e.g. Beverages, Food, Health and Beauty Products). S/he is expected to identify, investigate and co-ordinate the resolution of data, process or product related queries and be the point of contact for commercial queries which also needs to be solved in an efficient and client focused manner  

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English. 

  • Problem solving, ability to understand and analyze data.  

  • Ability to train and to explain technical elements to different stakeholders.  

  • Experience with risk management, incident handling, and escalation frameworks.  

  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and standardization. 

  • Solid project management skills: scoping, planning, execution, & stakeholder management. 

  • Good to have: Experience managing Omni Shopper / Sales BAU / Projects. 

  • Exposure to R/Python and ML/AI concepts (preferred); familiarity with BI tools and data quality frameworks (preferred).
