About the Role

We're a fast-growing science-led product company building out a custom technology platform from the ground up. We need an experienced full-stack developer to take ownership of a developement, design, testing, defined deployment and platform stabilisation project — start to finish, with clear deliverables and timeline.

This is project-based work, not a long-term hire. If you're comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of a scope, delivering it, and moving on, this is for you.

• What's Involved: development, design, testing, guiding the team, setting up a roadmap, clarity and deploying a production-grade backend application on a self-managed cloud server (not a drag-and-drop hosting platform)
• Database setup, security hardening, and performance configuration
• Ensuring the application runs reliably, securely, and is properly monitored
• Working independently with minimal hand-holding — you'll be given the requirements and trusted to execute

We're specifically looking for someone who has done this kind of work before, end-to-end, on their own — not as part of a large team where someone else handled the infrastructure.

• What We're Looking For: an experienced professional who has built and shipped full-stack web applications
• Real, hands-on experience deploying and managing your own servers (not just platforms that deploy for you)
• Strong backend fundamentals — APIs, authentication, databases, security
• Someone who can independently diagnose and fix issues without constant supervision
• Comfortable with project-based engagements and clear deliverable timelines
