Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a well-organized and detail-oriented professional to manage front office operations along with Customs House Agent (CHA) responsibilities. The role involves handling client coordination, documentation, customs clearance processes, and ensuring smooth import/export operations in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Office Responsibilities:
• Manage reception/front office operations in a professional manner.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and visitor management.
• Coordinate with internal departments for smooth workflow.
• Maintain records, registers, and basic administrative documentation.
• Assist in scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
CHA (Customs House Agent) Responsibilities:
• Handle import and export documentation and customs clearance processes.
• Prepare and file shipping bills, bills of entry, and other customs documents.
• Coordinate with customs officials, port authorities, shipping lines, and freight forwarders.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, EXIM policies, and DGFT guidelines.
• Track shipment clearance status and resolve any documentation or inspection issues.
• Liaise with clients for document collection and shipment updates.
• Maintain accurate records of all customs-related transactions.
Skills & Requirements:
• Experience in customs clearance / CHA operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of import/export documentation and customs procedures.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Email handling).
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
Preferred Qualification:
• Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Logistics, Commerce, or related field).
• CHA license/experience will be an added advantage
