Role OverviewThe Operations Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution of solar projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and coordination between internal teams, vendors, banks, and DISCOM authorities.

This role is critical in ensuring smooth project flow from booking to commissioning and subsidy processing.

• Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & MonitoringManage execution of rooftop solar projects (1kW – 100kW+)
• Track projects from site survey → installation → net metering → commissioning
• Ensure projects are completed within timelines and budgets
• 2. Team CoordinationCoordinate with:
• Sales team
• Installation teams
• Vendors & suppliers
• Field engineers
• Assign tasks and monitor daily progress
• 3. Vendor & Material ManagementPlan and manage procurement:
• Solar panels, inverters, structures, cables, etc.
• Ensure timely dispatch after payment milestones
• Maintain inventory and avoid shortages
• 4. DISCOM & Government ApprovalsHandle:
• Feasibility applications
• Net metering process
• Load enhancement coordination
• Liaise with DISCOM offices (APCPDCL, TGSPDCL, etc.)
• 5. Loan & Subsidy CoordinationManage customer loan process:
• Bank coordination (Jan Samarth / NBFCs)
• Documentation & approvals
• Track subsidy applications under PM Surya Ghar Yojana
• Ensure proper submission and follow-ups
• 6. Quality Control & Site AuditsEnsure installation quality as per standards
• Conduct or supervise site inspections
• Resolve on-site technical issues
• 7. Documentation & ReportingMaintain project records:
• Customer documents
• Installation reports
• Approval status
• Generate daily/weekly MIS reports
• 8. Problem ResolutionHandle escalations from customers
• Resolve delays in approvals, installation, or payments
• Key Skills RequiredStrong project management skills
• Knowledge of solar systems (rooftop EPC)
• Understanding of DISCOM processes & net metering
• Vendor management & negotiation skills
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Excellent communication & coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred – Electrical/Mechanical)
• 2–5+ years experience in solar EPC / electrical projects
• Experience with government schemes (PM Surya Ghar, KUSUM, etc.) is a plus
• Performance Metrics (KPIs)Project completion time
