Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION Role: Solar Consultant / Sales Executive Dept- Field Sales Location: [Region-specific] Reporting To: Regional Manager � � ROLE SUMMARY We are looking for a highly driven Solar Consultant / Sales Executive who will act as a revenue owner and ecosystem builder. This role goes beyond traditional sales — you will be responsible for: ● Onboarding and activating solar vendors & channel partners ● Driving revenue through lead conversion ● Managing end-to-end customer journey (lead → installation) � � You are not just selling — you are building the supply + demand engine for the region. � � KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1 ️ ⃣ Vendor & Channel Partner Onboarding ● Identify and onboard: ▪ Local solar vendors (EPC players) ▪ Channel partners (electricians, contractors, dealers) ● Build a strong regional partner network ● Ensure partners are trained on: ▪ Product offerings ▪ PMSGY/subsidy process ▪ Platform usage 2 ️ ⃣ Revenue Generation (Core Responsibility) ● Own monthly revenue targets ● Convert leads into closures through: ▪ Effective pitching ▪ Pricing negotiation ▪ Trust building ● Ensure high conversion efficiency 3 ️ ⃣ Relationship Management ● Build strong rapport with: ▪ Vendors ▪ Channel partners ● Drive partner engagement and retention ● Act as a single point of contact for key stakeholders 4 ️ ⃣ Lead Generation & Pipeline Creation ● Generate leads through: ▪ Field activities ▪ Partner referrals ▪ Local networking ● Maintain 2–3x pipeline vs target ● Ensure continuous pipeline flow 5 ️ ⃣ Site Visits & Customer Consultation ● Conduct site surveys and feasibility analysis ● Educate customers on: ▪ Solar solutions ▪ Cost savings ▪ Government subsidy (PMSGY) ● Provide customized proposals 6 ️ ⃣ Lead Conversion & Execution ● Drive end-to-end closure ● Coordinate with vendors for: ▪ Installation ▪ Documentation ● Ensure smooth execution → faster revenue realization � � IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE ● 1–5 years experience in: ▪ Field sales / B2B / Channel sales ▪ Solar / Energy / Construction (preferred) ● Strong local network is a plus ● Excellent negotiation & relationship skills ● Ability to work in a target-driven environment ● Willingness to travel extensively for fieldwork
