R&D Executive – Dairy & Ice Cream Division

Job Summary

Pellagic Food Ingredients Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a passionate and innovative R&D Executive – Dairy & Ice Cream Division to support the development of new products, improve existing formulations, and provide technical support for dairy and ice cream ingredients. The candidate will work closely with Sales, Production, Quality, and Customers to develop high-quality ingredient solutions that meet market requirements and food safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop innovative dairy and ice cream ingredient formulations based on customer and market requirements.
• Conduct product development trials for dairy and ice cream applications.
• Improve existing products to enhance quality, functionality, and cost efficiency.
• Develop new recipes and formulations for dairy and frozen dessert applications.
• Evaluate new raw materials and ingredients for product development.
• Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale trials before commercial production.
• Coordinate with Production to ensure smooth scale-up from laboratory to manufacturing.
• Work closely with the Sales team to provide technical support during customer visits and product demonstrations.
• Provide application support and troubleshooting for customer product development.
• Prepare product specifications, formulations, technical documents, and trial reports.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, and company quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to validate product quality and stability.
• Conduct shelf-life studies and product performance evaluations.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for product innovation and process optimization.
• Participate in customer trials, technical presentations, and application demonstrations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, trial records, and development documentation.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and laboratory safety practices.
• Perform any other R&D activities assigned by the management.

Qualification

• B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc in:
• Dairy Technology
• Food Technology
• Food Science
• Dairy Science
• Biotechnology or related discipline

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Dairy, Ice Cream, Food Ingredients, or Food Manufacturing Industry.
• Experience in product development and application research will be preferred.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Dairy and Ice Cream ingredients.
• Product formulation and application development.
• Knowledge of emulsifiers, stabilizers, hydrocolloids, and food ingredients.
• Laboratory testing and product evaluation.
• Technical documentation and report preparation.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and FSSAI requirements.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
