Role: Automation Engineer

Work Hours: Usually 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM IST

Mandatory Skills:

Job Summary

• We are seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automation workflows and internal tools.
• This role focuses on streamlining business processes and integrating diverse systems to deliver high-quality, scalable automation solutions.
• The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience and strong technical expertise in Google Apps Script, Python, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and frontend development using React.

Key Responsibilities:

System Development

• Develop, test, and maintain automated workflows, data pipelines, and system integrations using Python and Google Apps Script.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Architect, deploy, and manage automation solutions within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment using serverless services such as Cloud Functions and Cloud Run.

API & Workspace Integration

• Design and maintain custom integrations between Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Drive, Forms) and external RESTful APIs.

UI Development

• Design and build intuitive, interactive user interfaces and dashboards for internal tools using React.

Quality & Reliability

• Collaborate with the team to establish automation standards, implement robust error handling, and ensure the reliability of critical pipelines.

Monitoring & Support

• Monitor system telemetry, troubleshoot operational issues, and securely manage credentials and configurations within the cloud environment.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software automation, backend development, or systems engineering.

Python

• Strong proficiency in Python for building API-driven backend services, data processing, and automation scripting.

Google Apps Script (GAS)

• Deep expertise in Google Apps Script, including Workspace services such as SpreadsheetApp and DriveApp, quota management, and custom spreadsheet solutions.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Hands-on experience with GCP, including service account configuration, IAM permission management, and deployment of cloud-native applications.

Frontend Development (React)

• Experience developing and maintaining custom user interfaces and web applications using React.

Systems Integration

• Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs and managing authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 and Bearer tokens.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with risk management, compliance, or security automation platforms
• Familiarity with Generative AI API integrations (e.g., Google Vertex AI)
• Strong background in automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
