Job Overview

The Purchase Executive – Nutraceutical Department is responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods required for nutraceutical manufacturing. The role ensures timely procurement from approved vendors, cost optimization, inventory availability, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

Purchase Executive (Nutraceutical Department)

• Responsible for procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables for nutraceutical production.
• Source and develop reliable vendors as per company requirements.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with vendors for best rates.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per production and stock requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, and Stores departments for material planning.
• Maintain minimum stock levels and monitor inventory regularly.
• Ensure procurement from approved vendors with required documents like COA, MSDS, and specifications.
• Maintain purchase records, invoices, and vendor details properly.
• Follow company procurement policies and quality standards.
• Track market prices and support cost reduction initiatives.
• Handle vendor communication and follow-ups for pending deliveries.
• Prepare basic purchase and cost reports using MS Excel or ERP software.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, and audit requirements.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Science, Commerce, or related field.
• Preferred: Diploma or certification in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Procurement.
• Advantageous: Postgraduate Degree (MBA in Supply Chain or Operations).

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of procurement processes in the cosmetics/pharma industry.
• Knowledge of raw materials used in cosmetics (e.g., emulsifiers, fragrances, preservatives).
• Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and cosmetic regulatory requirements.
• Negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Marg).
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and cost-conscious approach.

Language: English, Hindi and Marathi (Hindi is Mandatory, Kannada (optional)

Salary Range:

₹18,000 – ₹22,000 per month (depending on qualification and interview)
