The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Optimization Insights Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leads deep-dive analysis of staffing, workload, productivity, service mix, and operational performance across service centers to identify trends, risks, gaps, and value opportunities.
• Implements executive dashboards, recurring reports, and performance metrics that provide leadership visibility into capacity, workload, productivity, portfolio mix, and operational performance.
• Determines actionable insights and recommendations from complex operational and organizational data to support decisions related to resourcing, service alignment, prioritization, and optimization.
• Supports workforce and capacity planning through scenario analysis, forecasting, workload modeling, productivity assumptions, and evaluation of operational constraints.
• Identifies opportunities to improve governance, reporting consistency, data quality, automation, standardization, and overall service delivery effectiveness.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires at a minimum the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified prior to start, in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, procurement operations, or similar data-focused roles in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Experience performing in-depth analysis and interpreting large, complex datasets.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms.
• Experience producing reports, dashboards, or analytical summaries for management or executive-level audiences.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Analytical thinking and ability to interpret complex information, identify trends, and translate findings into business insights.
• Data storytelling skills with the ability to communicate results clearly through dashboards, reports, and leadership summaries.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize operational issues, evaluate root causes, and recommend practical actions.
• Strong collaboration skills when working with leadership, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, business acumen, and continuous improvement mindset.
