Cyber Risk Assessor - Assistant Manager
(Work hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM IST / 4:30 AM – 1:00 PM EST)
- Strong hands-on experience performing risk assessments, control reviews, or security evaluations
- Ability to analyse cyber risk data, identify control weaknesses, and support remediation recommendations
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and their practical application
- Experience working with risk data, assessment tools, and reporting platforms
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality, accuracy, and completeness
- Ability to follow structured methodologies and deliver consistent, high-quality outputs
- Solid background in Information Security (e.g., risk management, GRC, security operations, or architecture)
- Good stakeholder engagement skills, including chasing inputs, following up, and ensuring timely responses
- Proactive and organised, able to manage assigned tasks independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, particularly for reporting and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Copilot)
- Experience working in a global or distributed team environment is advantageous
Prior KPMG or Big 4 experience is a plus
- Conduct detailed cyber risk assessments by analysing data, identifying control gaps, and supporting the development of practical remediation actions.
- Support risk and reporting based on a new Cyber Risk Insights programme
- Engage with stakeholders across KPMG member firms to support data collection, reporting, and delivery of outputs
- Support the delivery of a global cyber risk programme designed to help KPMG member firms assess, understand, and manage their information security risks
- Work as part of a global delivery team supporting multiple KPMG member firms across different regions
- Support the expansion of the programme by contributing to consistent and repeatable assessment processes
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, or risks and raise these appropriately
- Collaborate with internal teams and member firms to ensure efficient execution of programme activities
