Job Description
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in civil engineering principles, construction methods, building codes, and technical drawings/blueprints.
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Developing detailed project schedules, setting milestones, and using tools like MS Project or Primavera to manage timelines.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Estimating project costs, managing budgets, and conducting cost analysis to ensure financial viability.
- Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety, financial, and legal risks.
- Communication: Clear, concise communication with stakeholders, team members, and clients.
- Leadership & Team Management: Motivating teams, delegating tasks, and managing diverse, on-site personnel.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Identifying root causes of issues and adjusting plans to meet unexpected challenges.
- Contract Administration & Negotiation: Handling vendor contracts, procurement, and resolving disputes to achieve favorable outcomes. YouTube +9
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or architecture is typically required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a site engineer, project engineer, or assistant project manager is often necessary.
