Admission Counsellor

Role Overview:

The Admissions Counselor is responsible for guiding prospective students and families through the admissions journey—from first contact to enrollment while meeting inquiry, application, and conversion targets. A significant portion of the role involves proactive telecalling and follow-ups across phone, WhatsApp, email, and social media to generate leads, qualify prospects, and provide accurate program and admissions information.

• Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation and Outreach
• Source and qualify leads via telecalling, inbound inquiries, education fairs, school/college visits, and digital campaigns.
• Execute high-volume outbound calls daily; maintain compelling, compliant call scripts and tailor pitches to student interests.
• Nurture prospects through structured follow-up cadences (calls, SMS/WhatsApp, email).
• Counseling and Conversion
• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to explain programs, eligibility, deadlines, fees, scholarships, placements, and career outcomes.
• Assess applicant fit; guide on required tests, documentation, and timelines.
• Host/lead information sessions, webinars, and campus tours; represent the institution at fairs and partner schools.
• Application Management
• Assist candidates in completing applications; review for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate interviews, tests, and evaluation steps; liaise with academic and finance teams.
• Track applicant status in the CRM; move candidates through the funnel toward admission and enrollment.
• Telecalling Excellence
• Handle objections, resolve queries, and escalate complex cases appropriately.
• Log all call outcomes, next steps, and notes with high data hygiene.
• Meet or exceed daily call targets, show-rate, application, offer, and enrollment KPIs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting
• Work with Marketing on messaging, campaigns, and event calendars.
• Provide weekly funnel reports, insights, and feedback to improve targeting and processes.
• Uphold institutional policies, compliance, and data privacy standards.
