About Us
Marqetrix Web Solutions is a web solutions company focused on delivering high-quality, custom digital experiences for our clients. We're looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to join our team and help build, customize, and maintain WordPress-based websites.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress websites and themes
- Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet client requirements
- Convert PSD/Figma/XD designs into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress websites
- Develop and integrate custom plugins as needed
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, security issues, and compatibility problems
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers on client projects
- Manage website maintenance, updates, and backups
- Stay current with WordPress updates, plugins, and industry best practices
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, etc.)
- Familiarity with WooCommerce for e-commerce projects
- Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles
- Knowledge of MySQL and database management
- Experience with version control tools (Git) is a plus
- Basic understanding of SEO principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Nice to Have
- Experience with custom theme/plugin development from scratch
- Familiarity with REST API integrations
- Knowledge of other CMS platforms (Shopify, Wix, etc.)
