Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
-Steels & Scrap is a Mumbai-based specialty scrap trading company dealing in stainless steel, alloy steel, duplex, titanium, superalloy, high nickel and cobalt scrap.
-We are expanding our domestic sourcing network and looking for a self-driven field executive to build supplier relationships across your assigned city and region.
-Your job is to find companies that generate high-grade industrial scrap — machining units, forging companies, heat treatment shops, fabrication yards — and develop them as regular suppliers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Identify new companies (machining, forging, fabrication, heat treatment, etc) in your assigned geography using Google Maps, IndiaMart, Apollo.io , Industrial Directories and LinkedIn
-Cold call and visit target companies to introduce Steels & Scrap and understand their scrap generation
-Identify material quality / form / type on site and quote accordingly
-Negotiate purchase price basis head office pricing guidance — do not quote independently on high-value alloys
-Log every call, visit, quote and follow-up in the company CRM system same day
-Build long-term supplier relationships — the goal is repeat supply, not one-off purchases
-Achieve monthly targets: minimum 100 new companies contacted, 1 transaction per month from Month 2 onwards
-Submit weekly activity summary to reporting manager every Monday
-Coordinate Loading and other Misc task as and when required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
-Preferred experience in industrial raw material trading, MRO sales, or industrial product sales
-Strong knowledge of your assigned city's industrial clusters and manufacturing ecosystem
-Ability to build rapport with plant managers, purchase heads and business owners
-Must own a two-wheeler and be willing to travel within the region
-Comfortable with smartphone-based CRM app for daily activity logging
-Good spoken communication in local language + basic English for written communication
