Job Description
Job Description – Pizza Maker (Commi 1)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces and toppings as per standard recipes.
- Stretch, assemble, and bake pizzas with consistency and presentation.
- Operate pizza ovens safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper portioning and recipe adherence.
- Maintain mise en place and ensure ingredient availability.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and storage as per FIFO/FEFO.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the pizza station, equipment and utensils.
- Minimize food wastage and control portion costs.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely order execution.
- Support stock checks and inventory management.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff when required.
Skills Required
- Good knowledge of pizza preparation and baking techniques.
- Experience with dough fermentation and handling.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Ability to work efficiently during peak hours.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and quality.
