Job Responsibilities – Maintenance Engineer (Electronics)Department: Engineering / Maintenance

1. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and repair PLC-based machines, control panels, sensors, drives, HMIs, and other electronic systems.
3. Monitor and maintain automation systems to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
4. Diagnose faults in electrical and electronic circuits and implement corrective actions promptly.
5. Attend machine breakdowns and minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting and repair.
6. Maintain and calibrate instruments, transmitters, sensors, temperature controllers, VFDs, and related equipment.
7. Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to ensure smooth machine operation.
8. Perform routine inspections of machinery and utilities to identify potential issues before failure occurs.
9. Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
10. Assist in installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation of new equipment and automation systems.
11. Ensure compliance with GMP, safety standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
12. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
13. Coordinate with OEMs and external service providers for major repairs and technical support when required.
14. Ensure proper maintenance of utilities and production equipment, including tablet, capsule, liquid oral, injectable, and packaging machinery.
15. Train operators on basic machine operation and first-level troubleshooting practices.

• Required SkillsKnowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Delta, Mitsubishi, etc.)
• Experience with HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, servo drives, and automation controls.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, control schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical machinery and GMP requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Educational QualificationDiploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
• Experience2–10 years of experience in maintenance of PLC-based machinery, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
