Outsourcing Engineer

Position: Production Planning & Vendor Development Engineer

• Key ResponsibilitiesProduction PlanningReview customer drawings, RFQs, and purchase orders.
• Plan manufacturing processes and allocate jobs to suitable vendors.
• Coordinate project timelines from enquiry to dispatch.
• Monitor production progress and ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain project trackers, production schedules, and status reports.
• Vendor Development & OutsourcingIdentify and onboard CNC machining vendors, fabrication vendors, and supporting process suppliers.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities, capacities, quality systems, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate manufacturing costs and delivery schedules.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner plants.
• Build backup vendor networks for critical operations.
• Project CoordinationFollow up with vendors daily regarding production status.
• Coordinate material procurement and subcontract processes.
• Arrange inspections, FAI (First Article Inspection), and quality checks.
• Escalate delays, quality issues, and production risks proactively.
• Ensure smooth communication between clients and manufacturing partners.
• Documentation & ReportingMaintain project documentation, inspection reports, and production records.
• Update internal dashboards and project management sheets.
• Prepare manufacturing status reports for management review.
