Production Supervisor

Job Description – Production SupervisorAbout Kyte EnergyKyte Energy is a fast-growing electric vehicle manufacturer focused on producing high-quality electric scooters and advanced lithium battery packs. We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Production Supervisor who can bridge the gap between the Sales Team, Production Team, and Shop Floor Labour to ensure seamless daily production planning and on-time dispatches.

• Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & CoordinationCoordinate daily with the Sales Team to understand dispatch schedules, dealer orders, and production priorities.
• Prepare and execute daily production plans based on order requirements and inventory availability.
• Ensure smooth coordination between production, stores, procurement, quality, and dispatch teams.
• Monitor production targets and ensure daily output is achieved as planned.
• Shop Floor SupervisionSupervise and guide production operators and labour teams across assembly lines.
• Allocate manpower efficiently based on daily production requirements.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline, and shift allocation of workers.
• Resolve day-to-day production bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
• Production MonitoringTrack hourly and daily production against planned targets.
• Identify production delays and coordinate corrective actions with concerned departments.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and production resources.
• Maintain production reports, work orders, and shift-wise performance records.
• Cross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate closely with Procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Work with the Quality Team to ensure products meet company quality standards before dispatch.
• Coordinate with Stores for timely material issuance and finished goods movement.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes in production.
• Quality & SafetyEnsure all production activities comply with company SOPs and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment (5S practices).
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety policies and proper use of PPE.
• Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
• ReportingPrepare daily production reports and submit them to management.
• Report manpower utilization, production efficiency, downtime, and pending orders.
• Highlight production risks and recommend improvement measures.
• Required QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or production supervision.
• Experience in EV manufacturing, automotive assembly, or lithium battery production will be preferred.
• Required SkillsStrong production planning and scheduling skills.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and basic quality systems is an added advantage.
