Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our sales operations, develop new business opportunities, manage our sales and back-office teams, and expand Sigma Process Controls into new markets.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of industrial pumps, industrial blowers, and wastewater treatment equipment while having excellent leadership, sales, and business development skills.


Key Responsibilities


Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across industrial sectors.
  • Generate high-value B2B leads and convert them into long-term customers.
  • Expand Sigma Process Controls into new geographical markets.
  • Develop dealer, OEM, EPC contractor, consultant, and industrial client networks.
  • Prepare annual sales strategies and market penetration plans.
  • Sales ManagementLead and mentor the sales team to achieve monthly and yearly revenue targets.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, quotations, negotiations, and order conversions.
  • Personally handle key customer meetings and strategic accounts.
  • Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with clients.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for project support.


Team Leadership

  • Manage the inside sales and back-office operations team.
  • Ensure CRM updates, quotation follow-ups, order processing, and customer support are executed efficiently.
  • Conduct weekly performance reviews and set measurable KPIs.
  • Train employees on products, applications, and sales techniques.


Client Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with industrial clients.
  • Handle major negotiations and commercial discussions.
  • Resolve customer issues professionally.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.


Market Development

  • Identify emerging industries and market trends.
  • Develop strategies to increase brand presence.
  • Participate in industrial exhibitions, networking events, and technical seminars.
  • Monitor competitor activities and pricing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • MBA in Marketing/Business Management is an added advantage.
  • Experience5–10 years of experience in Industrial Sales or Business Development.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing a sales team.
  • Experience in pumps, blowers, wastewater treatment equipment, or industrial automation preferred.
