Hiring: Production Supervisor – Shopfloor & Dispatch Operations

Timber Acoustics is looking for an experienced and disciplined Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day shopfloor operations, supervise workers and helpers, maintain product quality, and ensure all orders are completed and dispatched on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities on the shopfloor.
• Supervise helpers, carpenters, machine operators, packing staff, and other production workers.
• Allocate work to employees according to production priorities and dispatch schedules.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within the required timelines.
• Coordinate with the sales, design, production, packing, and dispatch teams.
• Maintain discipline, attendance, productivity, and accountability among shopfloor workers.
• Monitor raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, packing materials, and inventory levels.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and report shortages in advance.
• Ensure proper quality control at every stage of production.
• Inspect finished products before packing and dispatch.
• Reduce material wastage, production errors, rework, and delays.
• Maintain production records, inventory records, QC checklists, and daily dispatch reports.
• Ensure orders are packed correctly, labelled properly, and dispatched on schedule.
• Train new workers and improve the performance of existing team members.
• Build a reliable, motivated, and productive shopfloor team.
• Ensure machinery, tools, workstations, and production areas are properly maintained.
• Enforce workplace safety, cleanliness, and standard operating procedures.
• Report daily production progress, delays, manpower issues, and material requirements to management.
• Candidate RequirementsMinimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Production Supervisor, Factory Supervisor, Shopfloor Manager, Dispatch Supervisor, or similar position.
• Experience in furniture, wood products, manufacturing, fabrication, interiors, acoustic products, packaging, or a related industry will be preferred.
• Strong ability to manage helpers, workers, and machine operators.
• Must have good command over the team while maintaining a professional and respectful working environment.
• Should be disciplined, responsible, organised, and capable of handling pressure.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, quality control, packing, and dispatch operations.
• Ability to identify production bottlenecks and resolve shopfloor issues quickly.
• Basic knowledge of Excel, WhatsApp reporting, inventory sheets, and production documentation.
• Good communication skills in Hindi. Basic English will be preferred.
• Must be willing to take ownership of production targets and timely dispatches.
