Sanjay Chemicals is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Technical Head – R&D to lead product development, formulation excellence, and technical innovation for our Paints, Coatings, and Construction Chemicals business.

📍 Location: Tilda, Raipur, Chhattisgarh

💼 Experience: 8–15 Years

🎓 Qualification:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Paint Technology, or Chemical Engineering

• Additional qualification in Paint Technology will be preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the R&D department for development and improvement of paint and coating products.

• Develop and optimize formulations for Decorative Paints, Industrial Paints, Primers, Putties, Texture Coatings, Waterproofing Products, and Specialty Coatings.

• Drive New Product Development (NPD) from concept to commercialization.

• Improve product performance, manufacturing efficiency, and cost optimization.

• Ensure product quality, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.

• Resolve formulation, production, and quality-related technical challenges.

• Evaluate and approve new raw materials, additives, and suppliers.

• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Control, Procurement, and Marketing teams.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the technical and R&D team.

• Interior & Exterior Emulsion Paints

• Acrylic Distemper & Premium Distemper

• Cement Primer & Wall Primer

• Enamel Paints

• Wood Coatings & Metal Coatings

• Texture Coatings & Designer Finishes

• Waterproofing Products

• Putty & Construction Chemicals

• Industrial Coatings

• Acrylic, Styrene Acrylic & Other Binder Systems

• Color Matching & Shade Development

• Paint Testing & Quality Control

• Raw Material Selection & Cost Optimization

Desired Skills:

• Strong formulation and product development expertise

• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities

• Proven experience in paint manufacturing and scale-up processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to independently lead R&D projects and innovation initiatives
