Job Description
Job SummaryThe Paraplanner plays a crucial role in supporting Financial Planners and Relationship Managers by preparing comprehensive financial plans, conducting investment research, and analyzing client portfolios. This position requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid foundation in financial products and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate documentation and exceptional client service.
- Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning: Assist Financial Planners in preparing comprehensive financial plans, investment proposals, and wealth planning reports (including cash flow, retirement, and tax planning).
- Client Analysis: Collect, verify, and deeply analyze client financial information to identify opportunities and gaps.
- Portfolio Management: Prepare portfolio review reports, investment comparisons, and performance summaries.
- Investment Research: Conduct thorough research on mutual funds, equities, bonds, insurance, and alternative investment products.
- Meeting Support: Support client review meetings by preparing presentation materials and necessary reports.
- Compliance & Operations: Ensure full compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal company policies. Coordinate with operations and compliance teams for client documentation and execution.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records and financial planning files.
- Market Awareness: Stay continuously updated on market trends, new financial products, and shifting regulatory changes.
- Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, stock broking, or investment advisory. (Note: Highly motivated freshers with strong financial knowledge and relevant certifications are also encouraged to apply).
- Certifications: NISM certifications are strongly preferred. Holding or pursuing a CFP, CFA, or similar professional financial planning qualification is a significant advantage.
- Required Skills & CompetenciesCore Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial planning concepts, equity markets, mutual funds, fixed-income products, and insurance.
- Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical, numerical, and data analysis skills with a high degree of problem-solving ability.
- Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare professional reports and presentations.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
- Work Ethic: Uncompromising attention to detail and accuracy, strong time management, the ability to meet strict deadlines, and a commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Preferred KnowledgeFamiliarity with financial planning software and CRM systems.
- Working knowledge of SEBI, AMFI, and NISM regulations.
- Solid grasp of basic taxation and retirement planning strategies.
