Job Description

Job Title: HR Manager (EdTech Setup)

Company Overview- Vishram International Services is a dynamic, growth-oriented organization expanding its footprint with a brand-new office in Ahmedabad. As we establish this new branch, we are seeking a visionary, hands-on HR Manager to build, shape, and lead our entire HR function from the ground up.

Job HighlightsJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent

  • Shift & Schedule: Day Shift (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM), Monday to Saturday
  • Work Location: In-Person (Work from Office) | Ahmedabad, Gujarat
  • Compensation: Up to ₹800,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilitie

1. HR Setup & Process

ArchitectureDesign, implement, and streamline complete HR processes, SOPs, and operational frameworks from scratch.

  • Create the employee handbook, company policies, attendance frameworks, leave systems, and code of conduct tailored to a fast-paced EdTech environment.
  • Set up robust HR documentation, digital employee records, and reporting structures.

2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

Lead end-to-end recruitment drives to build out local departments (sourcing, screening, interviewing, and salary negotiations).

  • Leverage prior EdTech industry insights to source top-tier sales, academic, tech, and operations talent in the Ahmedabad market.
  • Design a seamless, welcoming onboarding and induction experience for new hires.

3. Operations, Payroll & Compliance

  • Oversee daily HR operations, including leave management, attendance tracking, and HRMIS maintenance.
  • Coordinate payroll processing, employee benefits administration, and statutory compliances.
  • Ensure absolute adherence to local labor laws and employment regulations.

4. Performance & Culture Management

Establish performance evaluation systems, agile appraisal cycles, and KPIs in partnership with department heads.

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a high-performance, transparent, and positive workplace culture.
  • Handle employee relations and conflict resolution with utmost professionalism.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent is highly preferred.

Experience: Minimum 9+ years of core HR experience.

  • Industry Background: Strong background in the Ed-Tech sector is mandatory.
  • Core Track Record: Proven track record of independently handling HR functions.
  • Prior experience setting up HR systems/policies for a new office or a startup environment is highly preferred.

Core Competencies:

Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws, payroll coordination, and HR compliances.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and confidentiality.
