Job SummaryThe Front Office Officer is responsible for managing guest interactions, reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and ensuring a smooth and professional guest experience at the property. The role requires strong communication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to handle hotel operations efficiently.
The ideal candidate should be presentable, organized, and capable of handling guests courteously while maintaining operational standards.
- Key Responsibilities
- Guest Handling & ReceptionWelcome and greet guests professionally upon arrival.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Assist guests with room/pod allocation and property information.
- Respond to guest queries, requests, and complaints promptly.
- Ensure a positive guest experience throughout the stay.
- Reservations & Booking ManagementManage room/pod reservations through calls, emails, walk-ins, and online booking platforms.
- Coordinate with OTA platforms and internal booking systems.
- Maintain accurate booking records and guest details.
- Update room availability and occupancy status regularly.
- Operational ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with housekeeping for room readiness and cleanliness updates.
- Maintain reception area standards and professionalism.
- Handle billing, invoices, payment collection, and daily cash handling.
- Prepare daily reports related to occupancy, arrivals, departures, and revenue.
- Maintain guest records and documentation as per company policy.
- Communication & CoordinationCoordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams for smooth operations.
- Escalate operational issues or guest concerns to the reporting manager.
- Support overall hotel operations during peak hours or emergencies.
- Required Skills & CompetenciesGood communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hotel booking/POS software.
- Presentable personality with professional grooming.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Problem-solving and complaint-handling skills.
- QualificationsGraduate / Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.
- Minimum 0–3 years of experience in hotel front office or guest handling.
- Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
- Work ConditionsRotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
