Accountant

The role involves managing day-to-day accounting, periodical book finalization, and reconciliations along with complete TDS compliance. The candidate must be well-versed in applicable TDS provisions and capable of ensuring statutory compliance and accurate maintenance of books of accounts. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Finalization: • Day-to-day accounting entries of sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journals. • Monthly closing of books, ledger scrutiny, and balance sheet review. • Periodical reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor ledgers, and debtor balances. • Preparation and maintenance of fixed asset register, depreciation workings, and provisions. • Assisting seniors in statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audit support. TDS Compliance • Complete responsibility for TDS calculation, deduction, deposit, and return filing (Forms 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, 27EQ). • Timely payment of TDS/TCS and generation of challans. • Issuance of Form 16 / 16A to employees and vendors on time. • Reconciliation of TDS ledgers with Form 26AS / TRACES / Books. • Handling of TDS defaults, interest, late filing fees, and correction returns on TRACES. • Compliance with provisions of Sections of TDS as per the Income Tax Act, 1961 Desired Candidate Profile • B. Com / M. Com / CA Inter with 3+ years of relevant experience. • Hands-on knowledge of TDS provisions, compliance, and TRACES portal. • Strong accounting background with ability to independently finalize books. • Familiarity with Tally ERP, MS Excel, and TDS return filing software like Spectrum. • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to manage deadlines. Added Advantage (Preferred but not mandatory): • Exposure to GST compliance and filing. • Knowledge of Form 15CA/CB process and international payments. • Preparation of financial statements. • Capability to train junior staff in TDS and basic accounting tasks.
