Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HR Executive to manage blue-collar recruitment for our chemical manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring skilled and semi-skilled workers including operators, technicians, helpers, and contract labor. The role requires a deep understanding of the manpower needs of a chemical production facility and the ability to manage bulk hiring and workforce planning effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manpower Planning:
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to understand staffing needs.
- Plan recruitment drives based on plant expansion, attrition, or shift needs.
- Recruitment & Selection:
- Source candidates through local job consultants, ITIs, references, and job fairs.
- Conduct initial screening, interviews, and skill assessments.
- Ensure timely onboarding of operators, helpers, and technicians.
- Vendor/Contractor Management:
- Liaise with labor contractors and staffing agencies.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with statutory norms.
- Onboarding & Induction:
- Facilitate joining formalities including documentation, ID creation, ESI/PF registration.
- Conduct induction sessions focusing on plant safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Compliance & Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate manpower records, attendance data, and shift allocation.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, contract labor regulations, and safety norms.
- Retention & Employee Welfare:
- Address worker grievances related to payroll, attendance, or working conditions.
- Support welfare activities like accommodation, transportation, and canteen facilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in HR / Industrial Relations).
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in blue-collar recruitment in the manufacturing or chemical industry.
- Knowledge of labor laws, contract labor management, and statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, etc.).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong networking and local sourcing abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of recruitment efficiently.
- Knowledge of HRMS and recruitment tracking tools.
- Familiarity with plant safety and work culture in chemical industries.
