Job Title - Executive – Stores
Department - Stores
Reporting Position -Manager
Location(s) - Ghumasan, Mehsana
Job Objectives
To establish and manage end-to-end store operations in a manufacturing plant, ensuring effective inventory control, proper material storage, timely inward-outward movement, process discipline, and implementation of best practices for smooth production support.
Job Responsibilities
1.Store Operations Management
•Set up complete store operations and processes in a greenfield manufacturing setup.
•Manage day-to-day inward, outward, storage, and material movement activities.
•Ensure systematic storage of raw materials, consumables, bought-out items, tools, and finished goods.
•Maintain material traceability and proper identification system for all inventory items.
2.Inventory Management
•Maintain inventory accuracy and stock availability for uninterrupted production.
•Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchase team for timely replenishment.
•Conduct regular cycle count and physical stock verification.
•Control slow-moving, non-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
3.Material Receipt & Dispatch Coordination
•Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
•Ensure proper GRN process and documentation for all inward materials.
•Coordinate material issuance as per production planning requirements.
•Support dispatch-related material movement and documentation activities.
4.Technical Material Handling
•Manage engineering and technical inventory involving multiple line items.
•Maintain proper understanding of mechanical, electrical, fabrication, maintenance, and consumable items.
•Ensure correct classification and coding of technical materials for easy identification and retrieval.
5.Process Development & System Implementation
•Establish SOPs and standard store processes from scratch.
•Implement store documentation, bin system, labeling, FIFO/FEFO practices, and inventory control systems.
•Develop material tracking mechanisms and reporting systems for management review.
•Drive process discipline and continuous improvement in store operations.
6.Team Management
•Supervise store assistants, helpers, and material handling manpower.
•Allocate responsibilities and monitor daily work execution of store team members.
•Ensure discipline, accountability, and productivity within store operations.
•Train team members on store procedures and material handling practices.
7. 5S & Best Practices Implementation
•Implement and sustain 5S standards in store area.
•Maintain proper housekeeping, storage discipline, and visual management system.
•Ensure structured rack management, location mapping, and material identification standards.
•Drive best practices related to inventory management and material movement efficiency.
8.Compliance & Reporting
•Maintain all store-related records and documentation accurately.
•Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports.
•Ensure compliance with audit requirements and internal control systems.
•Support ERP/Tally/system entries for store transactions wherever applicable.
9.Safety Management
•Ensure safe material handling practices inside store operations.
•Monitor use of PPE and proper stacking standards.
•Maintain safety compliance related to storage and movement activities.
