Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Design & Modeling: Create detailed 2D/3D CAD models, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Optimize designs for specific production processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, or 3D printing.
Prototyping & Testing: Build and evaluate prototypes, conduct structural/stress simulations, and analyze test data to refine product performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the production, purchase, and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot shop-floor issues and resolve design feasibility concerns.
Documentation & BOMs: Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain technical documentation within ERP/SAP systems.Process Improvement: Evaluate existing manufacturing processes to reduce costs, eliminate waste, and increase overall production efficiency.
