Desktop Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite and remote technical support for end-user devices, IT infrastructure, and office systems. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, good communication, and the ability to resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues while ensuring high user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• L1/L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and business applications.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, software issues, and performance-related problems.
• Configure and support Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and other productivity applications.
• Perform hardware diagnosis and replacement of components such as RAM, SSD/HDD, SMPS, motherboard, keyboard, display, battery, cooling fan, and other internal parts.
• Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and workstations.
• Join systems to Active Directory and manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions.
• Support basic networking including LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, VPN connectivity, DNS, and DHCP troubleshooting.
• Install and configure printers, scanners, and other network-connected devices.
• Handle antivirus installation, updates, and endpoint security compliance.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for hardware warranty and service requests.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level technical teams.
• Provide onsite support at customer locations across Gujarat whenever required.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience in desktop and laptop hardware diagnosis and component-level replacement.
• Knowledge of basic printer troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook.
• Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy basics.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP Addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN).
• Experience with remote support tools.
• Basic understanding of antivirus and endpoint security solutions.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer handling skills.
