Head - Battery Manufacturing
Operations & Throughput
• Lead production planning, shift management, throughput and productivity across lines.
• Implement lean systems, traceability, inventory control, digital dashboards.
Capacity & Layout
• Commission new lines, optimise layouts, and manage factory expansion projects.
Quality & Compliance
• Drive quality systems, RCA/CAPA, audits, and supplier quality alignment; ensure EHS compliance.
Automation & Workforce
• Build automation roadmap with robotics/vision; develop team capability and training programs.
Cost & Performance
• Deliver OEE, yield, cost targets; monitor KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Internal Stakeholders: CTO, Head - Industrial Eng & Utilities, Head - Quality, Head - Supply Chain, Lead - Automation & Robotics, Lead - MES, SCADA & Controls, Lead - Process, Time & Motion; External Stakeholders: Equipment OEMs, Contract Manufacturers, Auditors, Regulators, Utilities for Services
- B.E./B.Tech. in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
- Postgraduate in Operations/Industrial Eng preferred
Work Experience:
- 12+ years in discrete/process manufacturing; 5+ years leading large-scale plants
- Launched automated lines for battery packs or similar complex assemblies
Industry Knowledge:
- Cell/pack manufacturing processes: electrode prep, formation, pack assembly, EOL testing
- Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA/DFMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, control plans
- MES/SCADA, automation, robotics, vision systems
