Job Description
The HR & Safety Manager is responsible for managing all Human Resource functions while ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. The role focuses on employee lifecycle management, statutory compliance, workplace safety, training, employee engagement, and creating a safe and productive work environment.
- Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resource ManagementDevelop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction of employees.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Handle attendance, leave management, and payroll coordination.
- Manage employee performance appraisal systems.
- Conduct training and development programs.
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Manage employee engagement and welfare activities.
- Coordinate employee confirmation, promotion, transfer, and exit processes.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
- Health & Safety ManagementDevelop and implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Conduct workplace safety inspections and audits.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Organize safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Prepare incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate fire safety inspections and mock drills.
- Liaise with government authorities regarding safety compliance.
- Compliance & DocumentationMaintain statutory registers and records.
- Coordinate internal and external compliance audits.
- Ensure timely renewal of licenses and statutory certificates.
- Prepare monthly HR and Safety reports.
- Maintain ISO, safety, and compliance documentation where applicable.
- AdministrationSupervise housekeeping, security, and facility management.
- Manage office administration and employee welfare facilities.
- Coordinate vendor services related to HR and administration.
- Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in HR is preferred.
- Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Experience 3–5 years of experience in HR and Safety management
