Production Engineer

Job Summary:

The Production Engineer will be responsible for complete production planning, fabrication follow-up, machining coordination, assembly supervision, quality coordination, vendor follow-up, and timely dispatch of agitators and dosing systems. The candidate should be capable of handling manpower, reducing production delays, solving shop-floor issues, and ensuring on-time delivery with quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution: Plan and monitor daily production activities for:

• Agitators
• Chemical Dosing Systems
• Dosing Pumps
• Skid Fabrication
• Tanks & Structural Assembly
• Prepare production schedules as per committed delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with purchase and stores for material availability.
• Ensure work completion as per approved drawings.

2. Fabrication & Machining Management: Supervise SS/MS fabrication work.

• Monitor shaft machining, flange fitting, boring, balancing, drilling, and precision fitment.
• Ensure proper alignment of agitator shafts and rotating equipment.
• Handle welding quality (TIG/MIG/ARC) and dimensional accuracy.
• Reduce rework and fabrication errors.

3. Assembly & TestingSupervise complete assembly of:

• Agitators
• Gearboxes
• Motors
• Couplings
• Mechanical seals
• Dosing skids
• Tanks and piping
• Conduct trial runs and pre-dispatch inspection.
• Check vibration, noise, alignment, RPM, ampere, leakage, and operational performance.

4. Quality & DocumentationCoordinate with QC team for inspection reports.

• Maintain production checklists and records.
• Ensure ISO documentation compliance.
• Verify drawings, BOM, and material specifications before manufacturing.

5. Vendor & Team CoordinationCoordinate with outside vendors for:

• Laser cutting
• Machining
• Dynamic balancing
• Painting
• Gearbox/motor follow-up
• Manage fabrication workers, fitters, welders, machinists, and helpers.
• Ensure discipline and productivity on the shop floor

6. Dispatch & Site CoordinationEnsure material readiness before dispatch.

• Coordinate packing and loading.
• Support service team for technical issues when required.
