Job Description
Identify and source suppliers for raw materials, components, consumables, and engineering items.
Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with vendors to achieve cost-effective purchasing.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per company requirements.
Coordinate with production, planning, stores, and quality departments to ensure timely material availability.
Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and service.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors.
Conduct market research to identify alternative suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries and resolve supply-related issues.
Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor databases.
Support inventory control by monitoring stock levels and avoiding shortages or excess inventory.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
