Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, and manage the finalisation of accounts. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in GST, TDS, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finalisation of Accounts

Handle end-to-end finalisation of accounts on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Prepare Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements

Coordinate with auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits

Ensure proper accounting entries and reconciliation of all ledgers

2. GST Compliance & Returns

Ensure timely GST compliance as per applicable laws

Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.)

Reconcile GST data with books of accounts and portal (GSTR-2A/2B)

Handle GST notices, assessments, and departmental queries

Maintain proper documentation for GST audits

3. TDS Compliance & Returns

Deduction and timely payment of TDS as per Income Tax Act

Filing of TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, etc.) within due dates

Issue TDS certificates (Form 16/16A)

Reconciliation of TDS with Form 26Q and Form 26AS

Handle TDS-related notices and compliance

4. Financial & MIS Reporting

Prepare monthly MIS reports and variance analysis

Monitor budgets, expenses, and cost controls

Provide financial insights to management for decision-making

5. Banking & Reconciliation

Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow

Monitor receivables and payables

Ensure timely vendor payments and collections

6. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, and other statutory laws

Maintain proper accounting records and documentation

Assist in company audits and financial reviews
