Job Description
Job Title: Unit Manager – Agency Channel
Industry: Life Insurance
Location: Ahmedabad
Role PurposeThe Unit Manager is responsible for recruiting, developing, and managing a team of insurance advisors/agents to generate business through the Agency Channel and achieve assigned sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Team Building
- Identify and recruit potential insurance advisors/agents
- Conduct interviews and select suitable candidates
- Activate licensed advisors and maintain active advisor base
2. Training & Development
- Provide product and sales training to advisors
- Support agents in the field (joint calls)
- Motivate and guide advisors to achieve business goals
3. Sales & Business Development
- Drive life insurance sales through agency advisors
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
- Generate leads through personal network and references
- Develop new business opportunities in the local market
4. Advisor Management
- Monitor advisor performance and productivity
- Help advisors close sales and resolve client objections
- Maintain long-term relationship with advisors
5. Customer Relationship
- Assist advisors in client meetings
- Ensure proper policy documentation and compliance
- Provide after-sales support and service
- Eligibility CriteriaAge: 23 – 32 years
- Education: Graduate (Mandatory)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in Cross Sales / BFSI / Life Insurance / Field Sales
- Skills Required:
- Sales and convincing ability

- Local market knowledge
