Job Description

You will be the first human voice a prospective student hears after expressing interest in an online degree program. Your job is to convert that interest into a well-informed enrollment decision — not through pressure, but through clarity. You will manage a pipeline of inbound leads, counsel students on program fitment, and own your admission targets end to end.

This is a calling-heavy role. You will be on the phone for a significant part of your day. If that's not something you're comfortable with, this role is not for you.

  • What you will doHandle inbound leads generated through digital campaigns and counsel prospective students on program options, eligibility, fees, and career outcomes
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to leads within defined SLA timelines — first call within 2 hours of lead submission
  • Understand the student's background, goals, and concerns, and map them to the right program and university
  • Manage your pipeline on CRM — update lead status, call notes, and follow-up dates daily without exception
  • Meet monthly admission targets assigned by your team lead
  • Coordinate with students through the documentation and fee payment process until enrollment is confirmed
  • Stay current on program details, fee structures, intake dates, and university updates across the portfolio
  • What we're looking for1–3 years of experience in inside sales, admissions counselling, or a phone-based customer-facing role
  • Strong verbal communication — clear, confident, and fluent in English; working knowledge of Hindi or a South Indian language is a plus
  • Comfortable making 150–250 calls per day and sustaining energy and quality across those calls
  • Organised — able to manage a pipeline of 150+ leads without dropping follow-ups
  • Coachable — willing to take feedback on call quality and iterate quickly
  • Prior experience in EdTech, higher education, or financial services sales is preferred but not mandatory
  • Fixed salary + performance incentive linked to monthly admissions
  • Structured onboarding with product training and call shadowing
  • Clear growth path — top performers move to Senior Counsellor or Team Lead within 18 months
  • Working directly with a hands-on manager — no bureaucracy, fast feedback loops
