Job Summary:

We are looking for a Sheet Metal Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks to design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies. The candidate should have practical exposure to fabrication drawings and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design sheet metal components using SolidWorks (Sheet Metal Module).
• Create 2D fabrication drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and BOM.
• Develop 3D models and assemblies for sheet metal products.
• Ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing (laser cutting, bending, welding).
• Coordinate with production and quality teams for design improvements.
• Modify and optimize existing designs based on production feedback.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings and revisions.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks – Sheet Metal.
• Good knowledge of fabrication processes (cutting, bending, welding).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in assembly design and detailing.
• Basic understanding of GD&T.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication industry
• Exposure to shop floor coordination
• Immediate joiners preferred
