Site Finishing Engineer

Job SummaryThe Site Finishing Engineer / Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all finishing activities in residential construction projects. The role ensures that finishing works are completed as per approved drawings, quality standards, project timelines, and safety requirements while maintaining effective coordination with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

• Key ResponsibilitiesSite Supervision & ExecutionSupervise all finishing works including plastering, tiling, flooring, painting, waterproofing, false ceiling, joinery, doors, windows, and external finishes.
• Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor daily site activities and workforce productivity.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and labor teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Quality ControlInspect finishing works regularly and ensure compliance with project quality standards.
• Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.
• Conduct snag inspections and monitor closure of punch list items.
• Ensure proper finishing quality before handing over units to customers.
• Planning & CoordinationAssist in planning and scheduling finishing activities.
• Coordinate with Civil, MEP, Interior, and Architectural teams.
• Monitor work progress and report delays or issues to project management.
• Participate in site meetings and provide status updates.
• Material ManagementMonitor material usage and minimize wastage.
• Verify material receipts and quality at site.
• Coordinate with the procurement and stores team for timely material availability.
• Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with site safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor safe work practices among workers and contractors.
• Report safety concerns and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Documentation & ReportingMaintain daily site progress reports.
• Record labor attendance, work progress, and material consumption.
• Maintain quality inspection records and snag reports.
• Support project handover documentation.
• QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–6 years of experience in residential project finishing works.
• Knowledge of finishing materials, construction practices, and quality standards.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD is preferred.
