Job Description
Looking for a Welfare Officer cum HR Executive bridges the gap between management and employees, managing both employee well-being (compliance, welfare) and core human resources functions (recruitment, payroll, admin). This hybrid role is commonly found in manufacturing, factories, or large-scale project sites where labor compliance is critical.
Key Responsibilities
1. Welfare & Compliance (Labour Welfare Officer Role)
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., Factories Act, PF, ESIC) and maintain all legal registers, such as maternity leave, attendance, and grievance registers.
- Worker Liaison: Act as the intermediary between workers and management, investigating grievances and ensuring a positive working environment.
- Canteen & Amenity Mgmt: Supervise canteen facilities, drinking water, toilets, and other welfare amenities, ensuring they are clean and functional.
- Safety Adherence: Advise employees on the use of PPE, machine guards, fire safety, and sanitation.
- Health & Welfare Programs: Organize health checkups, safety training, and social awareness programs.
2. HR & Administration (HR Executive Role)
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Handle end-to-end recruitment, induction, and documentation for new hires.
- Payroll & Timekeeping: Support payroll processes, manage attendance systems, and coordinate leaves.
- Employee Engagement: Implement employee engagement activities to boost morale.
- Records Management: Maintain personnel files, HR databases, and other employee-related records.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Work (MSW), Human Resources, or related field.
- Experience: 1–5 years of experience in HR, compliance, or welfare roles, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Labor Laws and Statutory compliance (PF/ESI).
- Excellent interpersonal and counseling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software.
- Fluency in local language(s) and Hindi/English
