3D Printer Operator

Job PurposeThe 3D Printer Operator will be responsible for operating 3D printers in the office, preparing print files received from the design team, maintaining printer health, and delivering finished printed parts on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate 3D printers safely and efficiently in the office.
• Receive design files from the design team and prepare them for printing using appropriate software.
• Set up print parameters such as material, layer height, support structure, infill, and print speed.
• Monitor print jobs during operation and ensure successful completion.
• Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of 3D printers.
• Identify and report machine issues, print failures, or material-related problems.
• Maintain stock of printing materials and consumables.
• Deliver finished printed components to the concerned team after quality check.
• Keep records of print jobs, machine maintenance, and material usage.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with 3D printer operation.
• Basic knowledge of slicing/software tools used for 3D printing.
• Understanding of different printing materials and printer settings.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor printer issues.
• Good attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to coordinate with the design team and follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FDM, SLA, or other 3D printing technologies.
• Basic knowledge of CAD files and file formats such as STL, OBJ, and G-code.
• Prior experience in a prototyping, manufacturing, or R&D environment.
