Quality Control Engineer

Job Title: Senior Quality Head – ManufacturingJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior Quality Head to lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with strong expertise in sheet metal components and automotive quality systems. The candidate will be responsible for establishing world-class quality standards, driving continuous improvement, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading quality initiatives across the organization.

• Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) departments.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Root Cause Analysis and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Prepare, review, and approve PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation for new product development and customer submissions.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, ISO/IATF standards, and statutory regulations.
• Conduct internal process audits, supplier audits, and customer quality audits.
• Monitor key quality metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve quality objectives.
• Lead problem-solving activities using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, SPC, FMEA, MSA, and Control Plans.
• Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution through effective CAPA implementation.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Tool Room, and Supply Chain teams to improve product quality and process capability.
• Develop supplier quality improvement programs and monitor supplier performance.
• Train and mentor quality team members while fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Reduce rejection, rework, warranty claims, and customer complaints through systematic quality improvements.
• QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
• Mandatory experience in sheet metal components, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, 8D, and CAPA.
• Hands-on experience with customer audits, supplier quality management, and process improvement.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation systems.
• Preferred Candidate ProfileExperience in automotive sheet metal manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong customer handling skills and experience managing OEM quality requirements.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
