Plant / Factory Manager

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Plant Head to lead and manage our manufacturing facility engaged in the production of automobile sheet metal components and assembly of Air, Oil & Fuel Filters. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, in-depth manufacturing knowledge, and hands-on experience in managing end-to-end plant operations, ensuring productivity, quality, cost optimization, and timely delivery.

• Key ResponsibilitiesLead overall plant operations, including production, planning, quality, maintenance, stores, dispatch, and manpower management.
• Ensure smooth functioning of sheet metal manufacturing processes and filter assembly lines.
• Drive production efficiency while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
• Monitor plant performance through KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize manufacturing costs, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with procurement, design, quality, and supply chain teams for uninterrupted production.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for machines and equipment.
• Lead, mentor, and develop production teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with significant experience leading plant operations.
• Proven experience in automobile sheet metal component manufacturing and assembly line operations, preferably Air, Oil & Fuel Filters.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Press shop operations
• Sheet metal fabrication processes
• Machine tooling and dies
• Assembly line planning and optimization
• Production planning and control (PPC)
• Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Six Sigma principles
• Hands-on expertise in machine tooling, process optimization, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, process controls, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in managing large teams and driving a high-performance manufacturing culture.
• Preferred Candidate ProfileExperience in Tier-1 or Tier-2 automotive component manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve production targets.
• Proven track record of improving plant productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing operational efficiency.
