Accountant

Key Responsibilities

1. Invoicing & Accounts Receivable

• Generate and issue GST-compliant sales invoices, credit notes, and related documentation.  
• Maintain accurate customer billing records and ensure correct tax treatment on all sales.  
• Prepare and manage e-invoices and e-way bills as per GST rules.  
• Monitor receivables, track due payments, and coordinate follow-ups with customers.

2. GST Compliance & Filing

• Compile monthly GST data and ensure accurate GST return preparation and filing (such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B).  
• Reconcile GST data with books and input tax credit (ITC) ledgers.  
• Regularly generate and review GST reports to support compliance and audit readiness.  
• Coordinate with external auditors/consultants for GST queries or notices.

3. Payroll & Salary Processing

• Process monthly payroll, including calculation of wages, statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, TDS), and net salary.  
• Prepare and maintain salary registers, payment schedules, and payslips.  
• Ensure timely disbursement of salaries and compliance with statutory obligations (PF, ESI, Professional Tax).  
• Maintain payroll records and assist in audits.

4. Statutory Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure statutory compliance related to GST, payroll taxes, and other periodic filings.  
• Prepare and submit periodic MIS and compliance reports to management or external auditors.

5. Accounting Support

• Record day-to-day accounting transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.  
• Assist with bank and ledger reconciliations, maintaining accuracy in books.  
• Support month-end closing procedures and accounting audits.
