Location – Head Office, Sadanandanagar, NGEF Layout, Bangalore – 38

Working days – Monday to Saturday

Working hours – 10am to 6pm

Language proficiency – English is the medium for official communication. Fluency in speaking Kannada, Tamil and Hindi will be required to interact with youth.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Evaluate a youth's education level, personality, interests and skills and suggest jobs that match his or her background and abilities.

2. Counsel youth on adjustment, truancy, habits and career planning. Help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational situations.

3. Prepare youth for future experiences by encouraging them to persevere with challenging tasks.

4. Collaborate with trainers in the development and evaluation of youth. Check for interview readiness and provide additional coaching, as required.

5. Maintain accurate and complete records on individual youth progress and batch wise meetings.

6. Provide crisis intervention to youth when difficult situations occur.

7. Confer with parents or guardians, trainers / other staff to resolve youth's behavioral, academic and other problems.

8. Meet / Talk to parents or guardians to discuss their children's progress, determine their priorities for their children and the upcoming placements.

9. Encourage youth and/ or parents to seek additional assistance from mental health professionals when necessary.

10. Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.

11. Periodic reporting to the centre, Placement team, Management and in monthly review meetings.
