Location: Washing Unlimited – Branch Facility

Position Summary

The Facility Manager is responsible for the complete day-to-day operation of a Washing Unlimited branch.

The Facility Manager ensures that every customer receives exceptional service, every garment is processed according to company standards, every employee performs their assigned responsibilities, and the facility operates efficiently, safely and profitably.

The Facility Manager is expected to lead the branch by example while maintaining the highest standards of quality, customer service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations

Responsible for the smooth operation of the branch.

Responsibilities include:

• Open and close the facility every day. 
• Ensure staff report on time. 
• Conduct the morning briefing. 
• Allocate work to all employees. 
• Monitor production throughout the day. 
• Ensure garments move through each production stage efficiently. 
• Ensure timely completion of all customer orders. 
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the facility. 

2. Staff Management

Lead the branch team.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise all branch employees. 
• Allocate daily responsibilities. 
• Monitor productivity. 
• Maintain discipline. 
• Resolve minor staff issues. 
• Report major concerns to the Business Development & Operations Manager. 
• Train new employees on daily procedures. 

3. Customer Service

Provide an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcome customers professionally. 
• Explain services and pricing. 
• Resolve routine customer concerns. 
• Escalate complex complaints when required. 
• Promote premium services. 
• Encourage repeat business. 
• Build relationships with regular customers. 

4. Billing & Cash Management

Responsible for branch billing operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Generate customer invoices. 
• Process payments. 
• Perform daily cash reconciliation. 
• Maintain billing accuracy. 
• Submit daily sales information. 
• Report billing discrepancies immediately. 

5. Production & Quality

Ensure all garments meet Washing Unlimited quality standards.

Responsible for:

• Laundry
• Dry Cleaning 
• Wet Cleaning 
• Steam Ironing 
• Shoe Cleaning 
• Carpet Cleaning 
• Curtain Cleaning 
• Saree Care 

Ensure:

• Correct garment tagging. 
• No garment mix-ups. 
• Proper stain checking. 
• High finishing standards. 
• On-time delivery. 
• Minimal rewash. 
• Minimal customer complaints. 

6. Inventory Management

Maintain operational supplies.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor detergent and chemical stock. 
• Monitor packaging materials. 
• Raise stock requirements before shortages occur. 
• Maintain inventory records. 
• Ensure tools and equipment are available. 

7. Machine Care

Ensure equipment remains operational.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct daily machine checks. 
• Report maintenance issues immediately. 
• Keep machines clean. 
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with the Business Development & Business Support Manager. 

8. Reporting

Provide accurate operational information.

Responsibilities include:

• Submit daily sales. 
• Submit production status. 
• Report pending garments. 
• Report customer complaints. 
• Report staff attendance. 
• Highlight operational issues requiring management attention. 

Authority Level

The Facility Manager is authorized to:

• Allocate daily work to employees. 
• Supervise branch operations. 
• Handle routine customer concerns. 
• Approve routine operational decisions. 
• Recommend staff leave and shift adjustments. 
• Recommend disciplinary actions to the Business Development & Operations Manager.
• Raise purchase requests for branch requirements. 

Expectations

Within the first three months:

• Demonstrate the ability to independently manage daily branch operations. 
• Achieve operational targets consistently. 
• Maintain high customer satisfaction. 
• Build a disciplined and productive team. 

Within twelve months:

• Operate the branch with minimal supervision. 
• Improve branch productivity. 
• Increase premium service sales. 
• Maintain consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
